സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് നേരെ വർദ്ധിച്ച് വരുന്ന അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ തടയുക അതുവഴി കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങൾ കുറച്ച് സ്ത്രീകളുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ജനമൈത്രീ സുരക്ഷ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി കേരള പോലീസ് 2015 വർഷം മുതൽ നടപ്പിലാക്കി വരുന്ന ഒരു പദ്ധതിയാണ് "നിർഭയ", വനിത സ്വയം പ്രതിരോധ പരിശീലന പരിപാടി. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് 2016 വർഷത്തിൽ രണ്ടര ലക്ഷം സ്ത്രീകൾ ഈ പരിശീലന പരിപാടിയുടെ ഗുണഭോക്താക്കളായി.

ലൈംഗികപീഡനം ,ലൈംഗികാതിക്രമം ,ലൈംഗികവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള മനുഷ്യക്കടത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയവയ്ക്കെതിരെയുള്ള ശക്തമായ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളാണ് ഈ പരിപാടിയിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ താഴെ പറയുന്ന കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങളാണ് സ്ത്രീകൾക്കെതിരെ കൂടുതലായി കണ്ടു വരുന്നത്.

ആപ്പിലെ ഹെൽപ്പ് ബട്ടൺ അഞ്ച് സെക്കൻഡ് അമർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചാൽ ഫോൺ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ആളിന്റെ ലൊക്കേഷൻ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തുള്ള പോലീസ് കൺട്രോൾ റൂമിലോ പോലീസ്‌സ്റ്റേഷനിലോ ലഭിക്കും. ഇന്റെർനെറ്റ് കവറേജ് ഇല്ലാതെതന്നെ ഈ ആപ്പ് മുഖേന സന്ദേശങ്ങളും ലൊക്കേഷനും പോലീസുമായി പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കാം.

നിർഭയം ആപ്പ് ഇൻസ്റ്റാൾ ചെയ്ത മൊബൈൽ ഫോണിൽ ഒരാൾക്ക് ഏതു ജില്ലയിൽനിന്നും സഹായം അഭ്യർഥിക്കാം. ഫോട്ടോ, വീഡിയോ എന്നിവ ഒറ്റക്ലിക്കിലൂടെ എടുത്തയയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ക്രമീകരണവുമുണ്ട്. ശബ്ദസന്ദേശം അയയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിനിടെ അക്രമി ഫോൺ തട്ടിയെടുത്താലും സന്ദേശം റദ്ദാകില്ല. തത്സമയം ലഭിക്കുന്ന ദൃശ്യങ്ങളും മറ്റും പോലീസിന് തെളിവാകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Nirbhayam APP is an Initiative by Kochi City Police. The app is designed as an emergency police help solution for women when they are in an emergency or in critical situation. Once downloaded and signed up the app will be ready to use and always the emergency screen will be opened for quick use. Click on help button and hold for 5 seconds, your request will go to nearest police control room and you get immediate help.

Following Options Are Available In The APP Based On Different Situations

1. User Can Send Location Only

Just press and hold the help button for 5 seconds and the app send alert to control room with user location and user name, age, city, email id, mobile number and immediate contact phone numbers.

2. User Can Send Message Along With Location

Type a message in the message filed and Just press and hold the help button for 5 seconds and the app send alert to control room with user location and user name, age, city, email id, mobile number and immediate contact phone numbers.

3. User Can Send Photo Along With Location

Use the inbuilt camera in app and click photo. Once a photo clicked app will ask “USE PHOTO” if selected USE PHOTO the app send photo to control room with user location and user name, age, city, email id, mobile number and immediate contact phone numbers.

4.. User Can Send Audio Along With Location

Use the inbuilt audio recorder and record audio by pressing and holding like audio message in WhatsApp. Once the recording button released the app send audio message to control room with user location and user name, age, city, email id, mobile number and immediate contact phone numbers.

5. User Can Send Video Along With Location

Use the inbuilt video recorder and record video by using video recorder in app. Once the recording button released app ask to use video or not if tap on use video the app send video to control room with user location and user name, age, city, email id, mobile number and immediate contact phone numbers.
